| Guitarist, singer, and composer, born in Paris, France. The nephew of Ray Ventura, who was famous for his ‘Collégiens’, Sacha became the talk of the town after his liaison with Brigitte Bardot. His charming song ‘Des pommes et des scoubidous’ (1958) guaranteed his success, and initiated a craze among young people who began plaiting plastic threads - ‘scoubidous’. Later hit songs included ‘Oh, quelle nuit’ and ‘Mon beau chapeau’. |
