| Actress, born in Paris, France. After a career on the stage and a few film appearances, she became famous in Resnais' La Vie est un roman (1983) and starred in his later films, L'Amour à mort (1984), Mélo (1986, best actress César), and Smoking/No Smoking (1993). She also won a César for best actress for her role in Un dimanche a la Campagne, (1984, director Bernard Tavernier). She is well known for her lively and light style of acting. |
