| Actress, born in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, SC England, UK, the sister of John and Rosamond Lehmann. Her stage debut was at the Lyric, Hammersmith, in London (1924), and thereafter she appeared in many successful plays. In 1946 she became director-producer of the Arts Council Midland Theatre Company. She also appeared in films, and wrote two novels and several short stories. |
