| biography:
| British broadcaster and journalist. He studied at Queen's University, Belfast, and joined the BBC in Northern Ireland in 1971. Moving to London, he became a reporter on such programmes as World At One, Today, and Newsdesk, becoming nationally known for his investigative reporting in Call Nick Ross (from 1987). He has also presented a wide range of news and discussion television programmes, notably Crimewatch UK (from 1984) and Westminster with Nick Ross (from 1994). He has also been much involved in work on social issues, such as medical ethics, crime, and road safety. |
