| Feminist and pacifist, born in Budapest, Hungary. As a journalist she was active in the Hungarian women's movement, and was a co-founder of a feminist-pacifist group. She became vice-president of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, and was Hungarian minister to Switzerland (1918–19). In 1920, fleeing from the country's anti-Semitic leadership, she emigrated to the USA, where she continued to campaign for pacifism. |
