| Queen of the Lombards, the daughter of Cunimond (or Cunimund), King of the Gepidae. She was forced to marry Alboin, King of the Lombards, who had defeated her father. According to tradition, he forced her to drink from her father's skull; she plotted against him and had him poisoned by squire Elmichi. She escaped to Ravenna, but was in turn poisoned by Elmichi. |
