| Novelist, born in Dordrecht, W Netherlands. An exponent of the Generatie Nix, he made his debut in 1992 with Ik ook van jou (Me Too), a moving but also funny novel about a strong love. His work is light-hearted, and agitates against the pomposity of literature. In his opinion, literature should be fun to read and reflect the author's pleasure in writing, a viewpoint expressed in his second novel, Giph (1994), which satirizes Dutch literary circles. |
