| Composer and conductor, born in Vichy, C France. A pupil of Koechlin, he was part of the Arcueil school with Sauguet. He propagated contemporary music and devoted his career to conducting, which was interrupted by a serious accident in 1952. He worked for the Ballets Russes, l'Opéra Comique, and l'Opéra. In addition he wrote many film scores. |
