| Silversmith and product designer, born in Hereford, Hereford and Worcester, WC England, UK. He trained at Birmingham and the Royal College of Art, London. He is best known as the designer of the stainless steel ware produced under the name ‘Old Hall’. He bridged successfully the gap between the making of single pieces of fine craftsmanship and industrial production, while maintaining a high degree of elegance and quality in the products for which he is reponsible. He was made a royal designer for industry in 1965. |
