| Writer and illustrator, born in Reval (now Tallinn, Estonia). With numerous exhibitions to his credit, he is particularly known for his prize-winning children's books, written with his wife, such as Der Weg durch die Wand (1983). A notable satirist, he ranges from the political (Wie Konrad Adenauer einem Wähler zu denken gab, 1965) to comic nonsense (Das Buch Otto, 1984). His poetry includes Wörtersee (1981), Körper in Cafés (1987), and Reim und Zeit (1990), and among his novels and short stories are Glück Glanz Ruhm. Erzählung Betrachtung Bericht (1983), Kippfigur (1986), and Lug und Trug (1991). He also writes for film, radio, and television. |
