| Airline executive, born in Stockton, California, USA. Using family money, he established Valley Flying Service in 1929. In 1937, after having worked in China as a pilot, he borrowed money and bought a 40 per cent interest in Varney Speed Lines, renamed Continental Airlines in 1938. Continental successfully competed against industry giants for the 46 years of Six's presidency. |
