| Jockey, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. Champion jockey in 1993–5, he was Grand National winning rider in 1986 and 1994. He rode at least 100 winners in Britain every season from 1989–90. In 1999, he rode home his 1679th winner, setting a National Hunt record, and retired at the end of that year. |
