| Lawyer, born in Houston, Texas, USA. Tough if short, shrewd if flamboyant (dubbed ‘Racehorse’ by a coach), he excelled in jury selection and became a legendary criminal defence attorney in Houston. He wrote Blood and Money (1970), the true story of a plastic surgeon accused of murdering his wife. His celebrated trials include that of oil tools heir, T Cullen Davis, in 1979. |
