| Breton nobleman, born in Champtocé, E France. He fought by the side of Joan of Arc at Orléans, and became Marshal of France at 25, but soon retired to his estates, where for over 10 years he is alleged to have indulged in satanism and the most infamous orgies. He was hanged and burned at Nantes, after being tried and condemned for heresy. |
