| Journalist, born in London, UK, the son of Sir Winston Churchill. He studied at Oxford, and served in World War 2 as an intelligence officer on the general staff. He was Conservative MP for Preston (1940–5). A forthright commentator on current affairs, he wrote The Rise and Fall of Sir Anthony Eden (1959), and published two volumes of a full-length biography of his father (1966, 1967). |
