| Writer, born in Limlingerode, C Germany. She was married to Rainer Kirsch (1958–68), with whom she wrote some poetry, including Gespräch mit dem Saurier (1965). Her poetry is well-crafted and fluent, with elements of Romanticism. Other works include socially critical short stories and commentaries, as well as children's books. She was awarded the Petrarca-Preis in 1976 and the Großer Österreiche Staatspreis for European Literature in 1980. |
