| biography:
| Historian, born in Guadalcanal, Sevilla, SW Spain. He attended school in Sevilla and then, following the family tradition, studied pharmaceutics. At the Universidad Central de Madrid he studied law, which he later abandoned. As a writer and journalist, he contributed articles to several newspapers and magazines including El Heraldo de Madrid, Diario Universal, and Bético-Extremeña. He wrote on current political matters and also glosses on cultural themes. As a folklorist, he dedicated much of his time and fortune to a collection of oral traditions. |
