| biography:
| Artist and sculptor, born in London, UK. She studied at Brighton Polytechnic and the Slade School of Art in London, and became known for her casts of ordinary domestic objects, such as wardrobes and baths. In 1993 she captured the public imagination with her life-sized cement cast of a three-storey terraced house in East London. The project gained her the Turner Prize and was demolished soon afterwards. |
