| Roman poet, called Atacinus from his birth in the valley of the Atax in Narbonensian Gaul. He wrote satires, and an epic poem on Caesar's Gallic wars, called Bellum Sequanicum. His Argonautica was an adaptation of Apollonius Rhodius, and his erotic elegies pleased Propertius. |
