| Latin grammarian, born in Caesarea. At the beginning of the 6th-c he taught Latin at Constantinople. As well as his 18-volume Institutiones grammaticae, which was influential in the Middle Ages, he wrote six smaller grammatical treatises and two hexameter poems. |
