| Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, the only daughter of George IV and Caroline of Brunswick, who separated immediately after her birth. The heir to the British throne, she was brought up in strict seclusion. In 1816 she married Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg (later to be King Leopold I of the Belgians), but died in childbirth the following year. |
