| Italian politician, born in Naples, Campania, SW Italy. He was police minister in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, but was twice removed from the post due to his extremely reactionary policies. He continued his ruthless persecution of liberals in Florence and Modena, where he moved in 1830. |
