| Prince of the United Kingdom, the third son of Queen Elizabeth II. He studied at Gordonstoun School, Scotland, then spent several months as a house tutor in New Zealand at Wanganui School. After graduating from Cambridge with a degree in history, he joined the Royal Marines in 1986, but left the following year and began a career in the theatre, beginning as a production assistant with Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Theatre Company. In 1993 he formed his own company, Ardent Productions. He was made Earl of Wessex and Viscount Severn in honour of his marriage to Sophie Rhys-Jones (1965– ) in 1999. |
