| Italian politician and jurist, born in Florence, Tuscany, NC Italy. He was an adviser to the grand-duke of Tuscany and helped implement a number of reforms. After moving to Milan in 1748, he established the Lombard land register, which would prove essential for the region's development. He then returned to Tuscany, where he was the prime mover behind Grand-duke Pietro Leopoldo's programme of reforms. |
