| Dutch politician, journalist, and teacher, born in Dantumadeel, N Netherlands. During 1948–74 he edited the Gereformeerd Gezinsblad, which became the Nederlands Dagblad in 1967. In 1963 he entered parliament as the sole representative of Gereformeerd Politiek Verbond (GPV) until 1971, when his reputation gained the party a second seat, which was lost when he retired in 1977. He wrote children's books under the name Piet Prins. |
