| Italian politician and jurist, born in Florence, Tuscany, NC Italy. He was one of the founders of the Partito d'azione (Action Party) and was deeply involved in the drawing up of the Italian constitution. From 1945 he edited the review Il Ponte, using it as a platform to advocate the moral renewal of Italian politics and the necessity to fully implement the new constitutional provisions. He also wrote Opere giuridiche (7 vols, 1956–76). |
