| biography:
| Writer and playwright, born in Correggio, Emilia-Romagna, NC Italy. One of the protagonists of the post-1968 generation, he was active in the 1970s student movement. The main themes of his work are sex, violence, and pain, expressed in a fluid style that shows his mastery of the vernacular and taste for linguistic experiment. Altri libertini (1980, Other Libertines) was followed by the satirical sketches of military life in Pao Pao (1982, Bang Bang), Rimini (1985), and the post-AIDS love story Camere separate (1989, Separate Rooms). |
