| Italian patriot, born in Briana di Noale, Veneto, NE Italy. A captain in the Austrian army, he resigned in 1848 to lead the Cadore insurrection against the Austrians. He was sent to Lombardo-Veneto by Mazzini in 1853 in order to organize underground action, but was betrayed and condemned to death. |
