| biography:
| Audio engineer, born near Stubbekobing, Denmark. He went to the USA in 1909. With Edwin Pridham, he developed the first dynamic horn loudspeaker, called ‘Magnavox’ (1914–15), and helped found the Magnavox Co (1917). During World War 1 he developed an anti-noise microphone that could be heard over engine roar. In the 1920s he worked on improving sound fidelity and founded Jensen Industries in 1943. |
