| biography:
| Catalan painter, born in Barcelona, NE Spain. He studied at the Escola de Belles Arts of Barcelona and then in Paris. He held his first exhibition jointly with the sculptor Apelles Fenosa and also worked with Picasso in Paris. His awards include the second prize of the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh (1929), the Montserrat vist pels artistes (1931), and the Nonell (1936). He has exhibited in France, England and America, and in 1963 held a notable exhibition in Madrid. His work can be seen in the museums of modern art in Barcelona and Madrid. |
