| Actress, born in Madrid, Spain. She trained in classical ballet at the National Conservatory in Madrid, and also studied jazz dancing. She turned to acting, and her work for the Spanish cinema includes Belle Epoque (1993) and All About My Mother (1999), both of which won Best Foreign Film Oscars. In the USA her films include The Hi-Lo Country (1998), All the Pretty Horses (2000), Blow (2001), and Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001). |
