| Industrialist, born in Gothenburg, SW Sweden. He studied at Lund University, then took up international law in England, the USA, and Switzerland. He joined the Volvo Motor Co in 1970, becoming its managing director (1971–83), chairman (1983–90), then executive chairman (1990–3). He has written a number of books, including Jag Tror på Sverige (1973, I Believe in Sweden). |
