| Painter and etcher, born in Enkhuizen, The Netherlands. He worked in Delft and The Hague, moving in 1652 to Amsterdam. His best pictures are small pastoral scenes with animal figures, but he also painted large pictures, notably the life-size ‘Young Bull’ (1647, The Hague). |
