| biography:
| Sculptor, born in Maella, Matarranya, W Spain. He attended the Escola de Belles Arts in Barcelona and was a disciple of Eusebi Arnau. Awarded a grant to study in Paris (1903), his studies were later interrupted by World War 1 (1914). His skill in casting iron combined with his inventiveness was innovative. Later he stopped working solely in iron, and produced several pieces in stone and bronze. Examples of his work are in the Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, in the Cau Ferrat in Sitges, and in museums abroad. |
