| Painter, born in Córdoba, S Spain. He studied at Rome under Michelangelo and Raphael. In 1577 he became a canon at Córdoba, where he established a school of art, and was also active as an architect and writer. He painted the ‘Last Supper’ in Córdoba cathedral. |
