| Novelist, born in Doetinchem, E Netherlands. He began with Zuidland (1991, Southland), a collection of stories which was awarded the AKO literature prize. In his work he uses historical elements as the background for his stories, as in Deep South and Far West (1992), a story set amongst life in the Southern States of America. |
