| Rabbi, born in New York City, New York, USA. He graduated from Yeshiva University (1949) and earned his PhD there in 1966. He was the founder and editor of Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought (1957), and began teaching Jewish philosophy at Yeshiva University (New York City) in 1959, then became its president (1976). |
