| biography:
| Curator, born in Santander, N Spain, the daughter of the anthropologist Luis de Hoyos Sainz. She studied at the Instituto Escuela, and after graduating became involved in her father's research on Spanish ethnography and was his principal collaborator until his death. In 1934 she joined the staff of the newly-founded Museo del Pueblo Español, and became a member of many learned societies dedicated to the study of folklore and ethnography. |
