| Actor and playwright, born in London, UK. He was educated at St Paul's school, and in 1600 became one of the Children of the Queen's Chapel. He was one of the comedians of the Queen's Revels (1604–13) and various other troupes. As a playwright he collaborated with Beaumont and Fletcher and with Massinger in the latter's The Fatal Dowry (1632), and wrote two comedies, A Woman is a Weathercocke (1612) and Amends for Ladies (1618). |
