| Psychologist, born in The Dalles, Oregon, USA. She studied at the University of Iowa, then joined the University of California, Berkeley, where she directed the Berkeley Growth Study. This 40-year longitudinal study measured mental and motor development in 74 subjects from infancy into adulthood. She published four books and research aids, including the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (1969). |
