| Painter, born in Tombov, Russia, the twin of Raphael Soyer and brother of Isaac Soyer. His family emigrated to New York in 1912, and he worked in a factory and studied in New York. He painted city scenes, such as ‘Girl at Sewing Machine’ (1939–40), as did his brothers. |
