| Mercenary leader, born in Narbonne, S France. He fought in the service of Louis of Hungary and the pope, and became notorious for the pillaging and devastation left behind by his troops. He financed Cola di Rienzo's return to Rome (1354) from Avignon, but Cola had him executed. |
