| Poet, composer, and performer, born in Monaco. He arrived in Paris to study law in 1936, and frequented ‘Le Boeuf sur le Toit’. Catherine Sauvage and Jean-Roger Caussimon launched him in his musical career with ‘Monsieur William’, and he received the Prix du Disque in 1953 for ‘L'Homme’. |
