| Soprano, born in Modena, N Italy. She made her debut as Micaëla in Carmen at Modena in 1955, and went on to sing with the Netherlands Opera (1959–60), and at Glyndebourne (1960). She has since performed at many other venues, including Milan, Vienna, and Salzburg. |
