| Composer and theorist, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He studied at New York University and then Princeton, where he later taught (1938). He was a leading proponent of total serialism, and composed many works for the electronic synthesizer. In recognition, The Columbia-Princeton Music Center made him a director. |
