| Journalist and popular comic writer of zarzuelas, born in Zamora, NWC Spain. His best-known works include La tempestad (1882), La bruja (1887), and El rey que rabió (written with Vital Aza). In 1874 he produced two light comedies, Cada loco con su tema and León y leona. He founded the weekly Las Disciplinas, to which he contributed under the pseudonym ‘Boabdil el Chico’. His Prosa escogida appeared posthumously in 1916. |
