| Poet and novelist, born in The Hague, W Netherlands. Initially an art critic, he published a number of collected poems, and seemed destined to become the leading figure of a new generation of Roman Catholic poets, but soon turned to writing texts and songs for well-known Dutch cabaret artists. In addition, he wrote several biographies, that of Guido Gezelle being the best known. |
