| Actor, born in Paris, France. He performed in the Cafe-theatre and made his first film in 1969, Le Pistonné, directed by Claude Berri. His roles portrayed the down-trodden French working-man, argumentative, vulgar, and insubordinate, on film, television, and stage. He appeared in a number of films and was awarded a César for Berri's Tchao Pantin (1983). He opened les Restaurants du coeur for the poor and homeless. He died in a motorbike accident in 1986 in the Alpes Maritimes. |
