| Novelist, born in Chichester, West Sussex, England, UK. He studied at the universities of Sussex and Alberta, launching his career as an author with The Last Sherlock Holmes Story (1978). In 1988 he won the Crime Writer's Award, the Gold Dagger, for Ratking. Later books include Dirty Tricks (1991), Cosi Fan Tutti (1996), A Long Finish (1998), and And Then You Die (2001). |
