| King of Bavaria (from 1806), born in Mannheim, SWC Germany. Due to his union with Napoleon I in 1801 he was made king, and acquired large territories in Franconia and Swabia. For the most part, he was able to secure these territories after changing sides to the Allies in 1813. |
